Forum Title: Grip Flex Coal Tar Emulsion Sealer
Has anyone ever heard of Grip Flex Coal Tar Emulsion Sealer? I believe it's manufactured by a Ameri-seal but everything I've found online is extremely dated 2006 and 2007.

Thank you for the information, that was my initial take on Grip Flex. Our company is a Slurry Seal contractor and I'm always wary when I see people Hi-jack terms such as Micro-slurry etc.. then reading the specification it's an emulsion or coal tar sealer with a heavy sand load. I'm very familiar with ASI out of Utah but the application rates for this flex seal was 40 SF to the gallon and GSB-88 is allot lighter application. Thanks again. I'm finding this forum very useful.

I dont think they are still around. It was a premium CT sealer. I remember reading about Grip Flex, and they called it a Micro Slurry. If you are familiar with Slurry Seals in general, this product was not a micro, in fact it didn't carry near the sand loads. The FAA is real particular about heavily sanded materials due to the roll out, you dont even see Slurry on runways anymore, just Taxiways iff that. There is a company in Utah called Asphalt Systems that sells lots of FAA materials. We see more of Asphalt Systems 88 fog seal product more than anything.
